It’s normal to suffer from a lack of motivation
Low motivation often arises when we agree to do a task that we don’t particularly want to do. A good example of this is taking on a project at work that you hate but agreed to anyway. Before you know it, your mind is on strike and that’s when the low motivation kicks in.
The way out of the mindset brought on by this sort of situation is to take an open and honest approach. There’s nothing to be ashamed of in asking one of your colleagues for help, or even requesting to give up the task entirely in favour of something you feel you could contribute more to.
Low motivation can also sometimes be a warning sign that something isn’t quite right, so try to listen to what it’s telling you. You never know, it may even spur you on to make a big change in your life.

Play some uplifting music - As well as bringing good vibes,did you know that music can reduce our heart rate and regulate our blood pressure? A tune that you really enjoy can have a big impact on how you feel.
Jot down what you’re thinking about - This is really a powerful trick to lay down and set aside your worries. Writing about whatever comes to mind, or even just what has happened to you that day, can lift some of the pressure off your shoulders.
Deep breath in...and let it all go - Breathing exercises can help relieve stress, refocus us after a period of low motivation and even prevent panic attacks.
