FAQ

How will I be charged?

Every Floe box has a total cost of £18 which will be charged on receipt of completing your order or renewing your Quarterly subscription every 3 (three) months. In addition to the products, this includes free UK delivery and free recycling. It also includes a quarterly email consultation with our dental director for any specific concerns or queries that you may have.

How do discount codes work?
On some occasions, we may offer promotional offers which may include promo codes and may be subject to expiration codes and selected users. These will be discounted from the cost of your shopping cart. Can I cancel my Floe Plan?

Of course. You may cancel your Floe Plan at any time by clicking on the ‘Cancel Subscription’ link in your Account settings page. You can pause your next delivery by clicking ‘Skip Shipment’. If you cancel before your first Floe Subscription Box has been sent out, you will be entitled to a full refund. If it has already been sent out, cancellation will take effect. Once cancelled, you won’t receive any further boxes.

For the avoidance of doubt, if you elect to cancel during week 11 (eleven) or 12 (twelve) of the Quarter, cancellation will take effect in the the next Quarter. i.e you will still receive the Floe Plan and will be charged for it and your Quarterly subscription will be cancelled for the next Quarter (3 months).

And if you want to resubscribe? You can do that through the website at any point, or emailing us at hello@getfloe.com to reactivate your account.

The British Dental Association (BDA) recommends replacing your brush every 3 months. Therefore we have designed our products to last for that long.

Modifying My Floe Plan delivery schedule and address

Your floe box will be delivered at intervals of 3 months depending on when you placed your order. This is in line with the intervals that the British Dental Association recommend replacing your brush at, and the other products are designed to last for the same duration. If you are looking to pause your next delivery, or change your address, then you can do by clicking the ‘Manage Account’ link.

How often should I change my toothbrush?

Replacing your toothbrush isn’t a marketing gimmick or a trick of the dental industry to get you to buy more toothbrushes. It is a key part of maintaining good oral health.Worn bristles don’t clean. The core purpose of brushing your teeth is to remove plaque and worn bristles can’t do this effectively.

Why? Frayed bristles become spiky and bend away from the teeth whilst brushing, preventing the fine lines from reaching the crucial area between gums and teeth, known as the sulcus. The 5,460 CUREN bristles in our Curaprox toothbrush stay better for longer, but must still be replaced every three months.

Worn bristles also damage gums. When brushes are made, the Nylon – or in our case, CUREN® – bristles are rounded into a soft dome shape to make sure they are not abrasive. But the longer you brush, the more the bristles regain that spikiness we talked about earlier, causing damage to your gums and enamel. These pointed, sharp bristles may seem harmless, but will damage your enamel and cut into your gums. Imagine you didn’t change your brush for a whole year; that’s nine months of receding gums and layers of enamel permanently scraped off.

Why ultra-soft?

The simple answer is they are better for you. Hard bristles combined with the wrong brushing technique are frequently to blame for receding gums. Young adults in particular, often damage their gums by thinking that brushing harder = brushing better.

Studies show that softer bristles are not only kinder to your gums and enamel, but also remove bacteria more effectively by bending into the gum line. When can I expect my box to arrive? We will notify you via email once your order has been processed. It will then be passed to a third party shipping provider. The estimated delivery time shall be: UK = 2-3 working days; Europe = 6-9 working days; and RoW = 7–14 working days (working days means that Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays are not included in this period); however, sometimes there may be delays due to postal/carrier delays, logistics or bad weather.

Can I buy your products without a subscription?
Can you remember the last time you changed your toothbrush? If you’re uncertain about how often you should be, you’re not alone. Over42% of people don’t change their bristles every three months – but this is the minimum required to keep your mouth healthy. It’s easy to forget to swap out your brush at this interval, but by operating on a subscription we automate this process and ensure that your new brush arrives exactly 90 days after you started using your current one. Subscribe to healthy habits, and never forget to do so again. Simple.

A subscription model also enables us to be circular. By sending you a new Floe Box every three months, we provide you with the packaging and returns postage sticker to send all of your used products back to us for specialist recycling. Toothbrushes can’t be recycled with domestic waste, and with 4.7 billion manufactured every single year, it is crucial to ensure that we reduce the volume or oral care products entering our oceans or ending up in landfill.

How do I recycle my items?Simply put all of your used products back into the box after unpacking your new products.

Stick the free returns label on the top of the box, post it through your nearest letterbox. That’s it. We’ll take care of the rest.

Why can’t I recycle my items myself?

Toothbrushes require specialist recycling to separate the different materials: plastic handles, nylon bristles, and in some cases the metal used to hold the bristles in place. Even the bristles of bamboo toothbrushes are made from nylon, which is a type of plastic. By tossing it in the bin or even household recycling you are contributing to the plastic pollution crisis. They don’t belong in the oceans but will continue to end up there unless we change our habits.

Get into the habit of sending all your used products back to us.
